WhatsApp ban: Using these apps will get you banned on WhatsApp.

If you have been using any of the modified versions of WhatsApp app such as WhatsApp Plus, BSE WhatsApp and GB WhatsApp, it is highly likely that your account might have been banned. Here’s what to do now.

WhatsApp is going all in to make its platform more secure for the users and since it is the most used instant messaging platform with over 1.3 billion users, users’ security for WhatsApp is an even bigger task. In a recent development, WhatsApp has started banning users who have been using modified versions of the messaging app like on a temporary basis in order to make its servers more secure.

Now, if you have been using any of the modified versions of WhatsApp app such as WhatsApp Plus, YOWhatsApp, BSE WhatsApp and GB WhatsApp, it is highly likely that your account might have been banned from the platform. Why? You might ask. Well, WhatsApp has recently posted a new FAQ post which states that if any of the 1.3 billion users have received an in-app message which states that his or her WhatsApp account has been “Temporarily banned”, then this means that the said user has been using an unsupported or modified version of WhatsApp app.

The Facebook-owned platform also added that these unofficial applications are developed by third parties and are said to violate the Terms of Service of the official WhatsApp app. Moreover, WhatsApp has said that it doesn’t support these third-party applications since they can’t validate their security practices. These apps include WhatsApp Plus, YOWhatsApp, BSE WhatsApp, GB WhatsApp, FMWhatsApp, YC WhatsApp, WhatsApp MA, WhatsApp Indigo, ZE WhatsApp and more.

But what should you do if your account has been banned for using any of these modified WhatsApp versions, how can you get your data and chats back or how can you once again start using the WhatsApp? Here’s a step-by-step guide.
