It is being known that SBI has decided to hire only 75% new employees, due to rise in usage of technological systems. This 75% of hiring will be done in place of retired employees only for the next five years. The development was reported by Times Now news.

Notably, SBI has recently unveiled recruitment procedures on its website, where new jobs are available for posts like senior executive (credit review), specialist Cadre Officers, defense banking advisor and even college deans for SBI institutes.



As per the report, in the beginning of fiscal year 2018, the bank started the recruitment process of only 10,000 people in place of the retired 12,000 people. About 80 percent of the service candidates as a clerk are either MBAs or engineers.

Currently, banking system are changing the way of doing business, something which came in limelight post demonetisation, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi government visions over Digital India.

Now almost every banking service can be availed digitally. Services like transfering money is already popular through internet banking using NEFT, IMPS, RTGS. On other hand, debit cards and credit cards eliminate the need of using cheques, as within one swipe a person can remove and pay money.



Even ATMs have advanced, as services like availing for loan, depositing, transfering, paying bills, filing for income tax return (ITR) and much more can be practiced.

Hence, technological usage have become the new business mechanism.

The process of Registration is complete only when fee is deposited with the Bank through Online mode on or before the last date for payment of fee.

Before applying, candidates are requested to ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria for the post as on the date of eligibility.



Candidates are required to upload all required documents ( brief resume, ID proof, age, educational qualification, experience etc.) failing which their candidature will not be considered for shortlisting/ interview.

Short listing & interview will be provisional without verification of documents. Candidature will be subject to verification of all details/ documents with the original when a candidate reports for interview (if called).

In case a candidate is called for interview and is found not satisfying the eligibility criteria (Age, Educational Qualification and Experience etc.) he/ she will neither be allowed to appear for the interview nor be entitled for reimbursement of any travelling expenses.
