Win Rs 50,000 xtrarewards points, 10% cashback on buying fuel at IOC petrol pumps: How to avail offer
New Delhi: Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL), India’s largest oil marketer, has announced a promotional offer under which a customer buying fuel from IOC petrol pumps can win Rs 50,000 worth extra rewards points and a 10 per cent cashback. The promotional offer is valid on fuel purchases from February 1, 2019, till March 31, 2019, and all the resident Indians of 18 years age or above can claim the benefits. This offer is applicable for purchase of fuels at any Indian Oil Corporation Ltd and Assam Oil Division retail outlets only, IOC said.
Indian Oil Corporation has announced this offer to promote digital payments following which the customers purchasing fuel from IOCL retail outlets through payment modes such as debit card, credit card or prepaid and UPI are eligible to participate in this offer. According to Indian Oil, one mobile number is eligible for getting the cashback for maximum six times during the campaign period and for a maximum value of Rs 300.
How to avail Indian Oil Corporation xtrarewards offer
For debit card, credit card payments
Step 1: Customers buying fuel through a debit card or credit card, will be required to send SMS with 6 digit approval/authentication code printed on charge slip to mobile number 9222 222 084.
Step 2: The SMS should be send in a prescribed format — . For example,the if transaction amount of Rs 1,200.50 must be mentioned as 1,200.5 or Rs 1,201.
For UPI payments
Step 1: Customers buying fuel through UPI are required to send 12-digit UPI reference number along with the amount of transaction to 9222 222 084.
Step 2: The SMS should be send in a format — <12-digit UPI reference number>.
The permissible limit of amount field is of 7 characters only, including decimals, if any, IOC said. According to IOC, the names of eligible winners will be declared after three days of transaction and the winners will be sent a link to enrol into the XTRAREWARDS Loyalty Program of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd and the cashback will be credited into winners loyalty account only. Winners may redeem the XTRAREWARDS loyalty points by visiting participating retail outlet of IOC against the fuel purchase.
