HDFC Bank Alert! ATM, Debit Card services to be hit during this period.

HDFC Bank has alerted its customers that bank ATM debit card transactions would not be possible during 00.30 am and 08.30 am on July 14th because of maintenance work. HDFC Bank said in its message to customers, “Due to software upgrade, our ATM/ Debit Card access system will be under maintenance from 00:30 AM to 08:30 AM on 14th July 2019. We regret any inconvenience caused.”



 

HDFC Bank regularly updates its system to provide fast and secure services to its customers. It also routinely warns customers against bank ATM frauds and advises them on the best practices they should adopt. In case you become a victim of a skimming fraud, you need to immediately block your Debit/Credit Card. You can get your card blocked by calling the PhoneBanking number of the bank. You can also block your credit card through net banking. All you need to do is log in to NetBanking account. Then click on the credit cards tab, then go to Credit Card Hotlisting (in the left panel). Here you will see a list of Credit Cards registered under NetBanking. You can now click on the Credit Card you wish to hotlist. You also need to select the reason for hotlisting.

In case of debit cards, log in to your NetBanking account. Click on the new Debit Card tab, then go to Debit Card Hotlisting (in the left-hand panel). Here you will see the list of Debit Cards linked to the account. If you have more than one Debit Card linked to your account, select the one you want to block. You also need to select the reason for hotlisting, then click confirm. You will receive the confirmation that the Card has been hotlisted online.



 

HDFC Bank is the largest private sector lender in the country. Last month, HDFC Bank had revised its interest rates on deposits by up to 0.25 per cent. It now pays interest of 7.30 per cent for deposits of under Rs 2 crore for a year, according to the bank’s website.

In 2018, HDFC Bank had emerged as India’s most valued brand for the 5th year in a row in BrandZ India survey. The private sector lender had earned top spot after building a reputation for its sustainable livelihood initiative by introducing smaller loans worth as little as $175 that can be accessed through its bank branches.
