If you are a sucker for selfies, the Oppo F3 Plus is still the most well-rounded selfie phone available today. It has a dual camera setup at the front featuring a 16MP + 8MP camera. The 16MP camera is the main selfie camera and the 8MP camera with its wide field of view is meant for group selfies or groupfies. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC and the performance is quite satisfactory. The rear camera is even better than the front-facing camera and the large 4000mAh battery easily lasts for the day.
Unlike the Vivo V5 Plus which had dual cameras at the front, the Vivo V7 Plus takes decent selfies with just one 24MP camera. It offers all the required beauty and bokeh modes you would expect from a phone of this caliber and the image quality doesn’t disappoint either. The performance is also at par with all the different phones available today at the same price.
Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro
Another phone which makes its way into the list is the Galaxy J7 Pro, which not only has a good rear camera but an equally good selfie shooter. The device is not the fastest among its peers but then it offers one of the best battery life you can get around the 20K price tag.
Xiaomi Redmi Y1
Under 10K, the phone we would recommend for taking selfies is the Xiaomi Redmi Y1. The small and affordable device offers a 16MP shooter at the front, allowing you take good selfies even without spending a whole lot. We don’t have any complaints about the performance per se, but we do feel that build quality could have been better. It’s not particularly bad, but we’re used to better-designed phones from Xiaomi.
The Gionee A1 is a less expensive selfie option available today. This 20K smartphones offers a 16MP front facing camera, which takes good selfie in normal lighting conditions, but struggles a little in low light. The rear camera is good as well and is among the best in the sub-20K smartphone category. The phone offers a really good display, which we reckon is among the best in the category. The performance is decent as well.
OnePlus 3T
When it comes to offering the best overall smartphone performance without creating a huge hole in your pocket, the OnePlus 3T has no match. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 powered device is not only fast, but offers one of the best selfie cameras in its category. The rear camera is also quite good and the battery life as well as the build quality is quite commendable.
HTC 10
Yesteryear’s HTC 10 is one of the only smartphones in this list to offer a OIS (optical image stabilization) aided front facing camera. While it is still a 5MP cameras, it is a good one at that. Like all 2016 smartphones, the HTC 10 is also powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, making it fast and reliable. It is also the best phone to buy if you are an audio enthusiast.
