Baba Ramdev messaging app ‘Kimbho’, which was termed as something of a  WhatsApp messenger killer has disappeared just a day after being launched! Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev’s “swadeshi” messaging app called “Kimbho”, to take on WhatsApp and WeChat, has suddenly disappeared from Google Play Store. This mysterious disappearance is as yet unexplained.

Baba Ramdev had also recently come into the news by launching data pack named Patanjali BSN – 144, that provided free unlimited voice calls, no roaming charges, 2GB data per day and 100 SMS per day, that was meant for Patanjali employees, actually beat anything that Reliance Jio could offer! It had roiled the telecom sector! Just a day or so later, Baba Ramdev launched the Kimbho messaging app and this time he upset the Internet world!

“Kimbho” suddenly disappeared from Google Play Store, but the app launched on Wednesday is still seen on iOS App Store. People who tried to download the app from Play Store could not do so as it suddenly disappeared, according to an IANS report.

Kimbho is reportedly a Sanskrit word and according to Patanjai`s spokesperson SK Tijarawala, it means “How are you? or What’s new?” Late on Wednesday, Tijarawala tweeted, “Now Bharat will speak. After launching sim cards, Ramdev has launched a new messaging application called `Kimbho’.” He added, “Now WhatsApp will be given a competition. Our own #SwadeshiMessagingplatform. Download it directly from Google Play store.”

Faisal Kawoosa, Head New Initiatives, CyberMedia Research (CMR), reportedly said it will not be easy for “Kimbho” to create a space dominated by WhatsApp for just being “Swadeshi”. He tweeted, “So far, just around 5k installations and reviews are full of issues and concerns. Nevertheless, seems Patanjali is getting serious about communications.”

About the app, iOS App Store reads as, “Kimbho is a real time messaging app. Kimbho empowers private group chat with free phone and video calling. It has dozens of amazing features to share text audio, photos, videos, stickers, quickies, location, GIF, Doodle and more.”

Earlier, Baba Ramdev launched Patanjali, BSNL data pack priced at Rs 144 in the form of the Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM card.
