Parents in India, PUBG Mobile has a message for you

PUBG, the battle royale title, has become quite a hit in the last few months. The game has garnered several million users around the globe. However, the game’s popularity, bordering on addiction, in some cases has become a cause of concern for many parents across the country.

In fact, there have been talks of banning the game in several states in the country. A Goa minister recently termed the game ‘demon’ in every house. He also called for a law in the sate to curb the multi-player game. Gujarat government too issued a directive banning students from playing PUBG in school. Many other states too have issued similar directives.

Responding to the raging controversy, PUBG Mobile has issued a statement wherein they have promised to bring in features and enhancements that will help promote ‘healthy and balanced in-game environment’.

“We appreciate the support and trust given to us by our PUBG MOBILE players. While we strive to deliver the best possible gaming experience to our fans, we also believe that it is extremely important for us to be a responsible member of the gaming ecosystem. To this end, we constantly work and shall continue to work with different stakeholders, including parents, educators and government bodies, and listening to their feedback on what we can do to enhance the overall PUBG MOBILE experience,” reads the statement.

The PUBG Mobile statement further adds, “To foster a healthy and balanced in-game environment, we are developing numerous new features and enhancements which enables us to provide an environment for players to enjoy PUBG MOBILE in a rewarding and responsible manner. We are honored to have a passionate community of PUBG MOBILE players in India and globally and continue to welcome their feedback to make PUBG MOBILE the best game ever!”
