NEW DELHI: The ministry of home affairs has started a massive drive to fill 76,578 vacancies in central paramilitary forces including CRPF, CISF, ITBP, BSF, SSB and Assam Rifles.
Maximum vacancies will be filled in the Constable ranks, said officials.
The ministry informed the parliament on Wednesday itself informed Rajya Sabha that there are total 84,037 vacancies in central armed police forces (CRPF, BSF, CISF, SSB and ITBP) and Assam Rifles.
Maximum vacancies are in CRPF – 22,980 and BSF – 21,465 followed by 18,102 in SSB, 10,415 in CISF, 6,643 in ITBP and 4,432 in Assam Rifles.
The ministry officials said that vacancies in paramilitary forces are due to retirement, resignation, death, new raising/creating of new posts etc.
