How to use Bluetooth speakers on your laptop and smartphone

Over the years we have witnessed the change and advancement in audio technology which eventually phased out the big and bulky speaker systems. The speakers now are relatively smaller and use wireless technologies such as Bluetooth or NFC to connect with your device. But with the added level of convenience, connecting the Bluetooth enabled speakers can a cumbersome especially with PC or laptop. So if, you are wondering how to go about it, here’s our ready-to-use guide:



Pre-requisites:

1.

Both the devices should have Bluetooth connectivity option

2.

Make sure your Bluetooth speaker has enough battery

3.

You should know the name of your speaker

Steps for smartphones

1.

Turn on your Bluetooth speaker and put it into pairing mode (generally it’s done by pressing and holding the power button itself)

2.

Go to theBluetooth option in your smartphone and scan for the device

3.

Once you see the name of your Bluetooth speaker then tap on it to pair it with your smartphone

4.

Once you see the name of your Bluetooth speaker then tap on it to pair it with your smartphone.



Steps for PC or Laptop

1.

Turn on your Bluetooth speaker and press and hold the power button to enable the pairing mode (different speakers have different ways to enable the pairing mode)

2.

Open ‘Settings’ and then head to the ‘Devices’ option

3.

Click on ‘Bluetooth & other devices’

4.

Now, hit the ‘+’ icon to add the Bluetooth speaker

5.

Select ‘Bluetooth’ option from the next popup

6.

Click on the speaker’s name to connect it to your laptop
