How to bypass YouTube’s age restriction without signing in

YouTube’s age restricted content can be hard to access without signing into an account but we do have a few ways to get around the restrictions.




YouTube restricts the viewing of certain videos that it decides aren’t appropriate for certain ages and this can be for a number of different reasons. If you’re seeking to access these because you don’t have an account or don’t want to sign in, then it’s not difficult too get access to this age restricted content.

There are several ways to do this through using proxy or mirror websites, or even techniques such as using embed video links. We’ve collected a few ways to get around the age gate below, and if you’d like to download any of the content you find then we have a guide for that too.



Using NSFW YouTube

  • Find your way to the video that you wish to use.
  • If you’re coming across an age related content warning, then you’ll be greeted with the screen below.
  • Click on the URL link up in the address bar at the top of the page.
  • After the ‘www.’ But before ‘youtube.com’ enter ‘nsfw’. The original link would be ‘https://www.youtube.com/watch….’ but is now ‘https://www.nsfwcom/watch…’

Using Listen on Repeat

  • Find your way to the video that you wish to view.
  • You will be confronted with the content warning screen.
    • Click on the URL at the top of the screen, and type ‘repeat’ after YouTube in the address bar.
    • For example, ‘https://www.youtube.com/watch…’ turns into ‘https://www.youtuberepeat.com/watch…’

    Using an embed link

    • Find your way to the video that you wish to view.
    • You’ll find yourself up against the content warning screen.
    • Click on the URL at the top of the screen
    • Highlight the part of the URL that says ‘watch?v=’ and replace it with ‘/embed/’.
